Dear Mama,
There’s a beautiful poem called *Footprints in the Sand* that I’m sure you’ve heard of. It tells the story of a person walking along the beach with God, and during the hardest times, only one set of footprints appears in the sand. Confused, they ask God, “Why did you leave me when I needed you most?” But God responds, “My precious child, during your times of trial, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”
As a single mom, you might feel like you’re walking this journey all alone. The weight of the world is on your shoulders, and you’re trying so hard to be everything for your kids. But here’s the truth: God is walking beside you, even when it feels like you’re all by yourself.
In those moments when you feel too tired, too stressed, or too overwhelmed, know that **He is carrying you**. He sees your tears, your strength, and your heart. You are not alone, and you never have been.
Trust in Him, mama. Lean on His strength when yours is running low. God is with you every step of the way.
With love and faith,
**A Sister in Christ**
A Prayer for Single Mothers Seeking God’s Comfort
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, knowing that You are always present, even when life feels overwhelming. Just like in *Footprints in the Sand*, remind every single mother that in her hardest moments, when she feels burdened and alone, it is You who carries her.
Lord, strengthen her spirit when the weight of motherhood feels too heavy. Surround her with Your love, and let her find peace in knowing that she never walks this path alone. Guide her steps when she feels lost, and give her the wisdom and patience to care for her children with grace.
When she feels exhausted or unsure, remind her that You see her struggles, her tears, and her unwavering love for her family. Help her trust that You have a plan, and that in every season of life, You are walking beside her, holding her close.
Thank You, Father, for Your endless grace and mercy. Be her refuge and fortress, a constant source of comfort and strength. Let her find rest in Your presence and confidence in Your promises, knowing that Your love will carry her through every trial.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
